A comprehensive dental wellness visit is a checkup to assess your overall oral health and function. Based on this visit, Dr. Dunn will tailor a personalized treatment plan, including your hygiene appointments, for ongoing care to maintain a healthy smile!

INVISALIGN Clear aligners are a series of custom trays that fit your teeth very tightly. Each subsequent tray slowly straightens your teeth into proper alignment. Aligners are an excellent alternative to traditional metal braces as they can be removed when you want to eat or brush your teeth. Plus, the near transparency means only you will know you’re wearing them! While this solution isn’t right for everyone, it can be a great choice for many smiles!

Lamar Dental provides a wide range of dental services in Hattiesburg, MS, including cosmetic procedures. Dr. Dunn and our team can get you looking and feeling confident in your smile with veneers, crowns, Invisalign, implants, teeth whitening and more.

Want a whiter and brighter smile? We offer professional in-office whitening treatment as well as take home whitening kits with custom-fitted trays. Dr. Dunn will help customize your cosmetic procedures, veneers, and whitening treatments to enhance your smile!

The crown acts as a covering or “cap” your natural tooth. Crowns can be made from porcelain, ceramics, metal alloy or a combination of these.

A fixed bridge may be used to replace a missing tooth. The adjacent teeth are crowned and used to support the pontic (missing tooth) and the crowns are cemented in place to support the bridge. Implant supported bridges may be placed in cases where multiple teeth are missing.

At Lamar Dental, we understand that your denture needs are as unique as you are. The right dentures can make your smile look complete, aid in proper chewing, and improve your speech. We will ensure that your dentures are made with excellent techniques and high-quality materials so you can feel comfortable and confident about your smile.

Sometimes injury or decay damages a tooth extensively. In certain cases, extraction is the proper treatment option to start you on the path toward complete dental health. Dr. Dunn can gently extract your troublesome tooth and can give you the treatment options for replacing that tooth in order to restore your beautiful smile.

When a cavity, or decay, has been taken out of a tooth, it is replaced with “filling” material. Composite fillings, also known as tooth-colored fillings, are designed to match the color of your teeth, so they can be used in even the most visible locations in the mouth. After application, the goal is for your tooth to look like it did before it was damaged.

If you need to replace a missing tooth or multiple teeth, implants are an ideal solution. An implant replaces the root of the tooth with a titanium post, and a final restoration such as a crown, bridge or denture can be attached to the implant to restore function and chewing ability.

If you have a healthy mouth, then our recommendation is to have a routine exam and cleaning every six months. All excess plaque will be removed, and we’ll provide you with tips for maintaining optimal oral health.  Two routine cleanings are included as part of our membership plan!

Periodontal disease, or gum disease, is a lingering bacterial infection that can threaten the tissue that surrounds your teeth, and, in some cases, cause tooth loss. Our team will first assess the health of your gums to determine if you have gum disease. If found, we will suggest Periodontal therapy, which includes a deep cleaning, called scaling and root planing to remove plaque and calculus from the tooth surface. The goal of Periodontal therapy is to restore health to your teeth and gums.

At Lamar Dental, we strive to ensure that our procedures are as safe, quick, and painless as possible. When you first come in with an endodontic issue, we will make a thorough assessment and identify the cause of your inner tooth issue. First, we will take x-rays, then Dr. Dunn will gently file the infected tissue out of the affected tooth’s root canals and replace the void with a dental filling material.
